Kim & Mike's Wedding at Soire Estate in Super 8 Video
What is Super 8?
Super 8 is a vintage film format from the 60s/70s that gives your video that dreamy, nostalgic, imperfect-in-the-best-way vibe. Think home movie feels… but make it wedding-day magic.
Does Super 8 have audio?
Nope! Super 8 is silent film. We tell your story through visuals, movement, and music. If you want audio (like vows or speeches), we recommend pairing Super 8 with modern video coverage for the best of both worlds.
How much film do you actually shoot?
Each roll of Super 8 film lasts about 3 minutes. That means every shot is intentional—we’re anticipating moments instead of spraying content. It’s limited, rare, and part of what makes it feel so special.
What does a Super 8 wedding video include?
You’ll receive a highlight film (digitally scanned from the original film stock) set to licensed music. It’s curated, artistic, and made to feel like your wedding was plucked from a vintage reel.
How is it different from “modern” wedding videography?
Modern video is polished, sharp, and full of audio storytelling. Super 8 is raw, textural, and nostalgic. A lot of our couples book both, so they get a timeless mix—one feels like an heirloom, the other like a cinematic documentary.
How long does it take to get our film back?
Because Super 8 is shot on real film, it has to be processed + scanned. Turnaround is usually about 8–10 weeks (worth the wait, promise).
Who is Super 8 best for?
The chill, intentional couples who want their wedding documented in a way that feels timeless and emotional—not overly posed, not overly perfect, but real.
